Make Up Monday- Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain

I grew up with a mother who perpetually wore red lipstick. Every day on the way to school (she was a teacher at our local school district), she would whip into the middle school parking lot, kiss us goodbye, then take a second to herself to get her lipstick perfect. Casual day, Sunday best, riding the tractor; it didn't matter. She always wore red lipstick.

So it shouldn't come as much of a shock that I, being her daughter, became a lipstick junkie too. I'm not stuck to one color, but I easily have 30 tubes between my purse and my make up bags at home.

It's an addiction that I may need therapy for.

When I started work after college, there was nothing more I loved than experimenting with the newest lip color trend. Whether bright pink or coral or a neutral, I'd coordinate my entire make up "look" around my lipstick choice.

Now that I'm a mom, that time is spent on other things. Like picking ground up Cheerios out of the carpet. #momlife

So I need a product that will last all day with minimal reapplication, look pretty and polished while not WOAH in your face, and feel good on my lips.

I was watching Rachhloves on YouTube (if you haven't seen her, go check her out now!) where she talked about these Revlon Colorburst Balm Stains. "Why not?" I thought. "That sounds like an interesting product."

Friends, I now own three of these sticks with plans to purchase more. They're that good.

They offer a range of coverage with all day stay. I went to lunch with my husband last week and put this on as I picked him up. And guess what? I didn't have to reapply after lunch. That never has happened before. Ever.

The colors are great, and there's a range that would suit anyone's needs. I wear the color Honey while running errands and spending the day at home, or Lovesick when I'm looking for a fun play date look.

Me wearing Honey, a great natural pink. And posing like a fool in front of the Bean with my husband.

I also have their matte balm in red, called Striking, that is just that. It also has great staying power, and really can take a look from day to night.

Me wearing Striking before heading out to dinner. Stayed on all night!

Run, don't walk, to get these at your local Target. For $7 the price can't be beat, and they're sure to be your favorite too!

*Revlon doesn't know me from Adam. I promise. I just really love this product.
