Hi, I'm Rachel!
I'm a small town girl now living in the ever growing northwest corner of Arkansas. I'm blessed to be a child of the Savior, wife to a handsome and hard working man, and mother to the sweetest little girl you ever did meet. I found myself at 24 having a quarter life crisis. I was working at a job that was becoming ever more stressful and demanding with travel. My daughter was spending most of her days in daycare, and what time I did have at home with her and my husband I was increasingly stresses and absent. It wasn't pretty, and it was certainly not the ever after I had always dreamed of. At the end of this summer, after much prayerful consideration (and with a great deal of fear, if I'm being honest) I made the jump into becoming a stay at home mom. It's a big life change for my entire family, but one we're excited to navigate together. My hope with this blog is to help other moms who are facing the same decisions and challenges as I was, whether they choose to stay home or head back to work. Being a mom in this day and age is tough- no matter your choices, you are perpetually judged and often found inadequate. I want this to be a place of love and acceptance, and maybe give you some helpful advice along the way on what worked with my family. So stick around, put up your feet and read awhile! Your fairy tale may look different than you pictured, but one of the sweetest things in life is taking charge and rewriting your ever after.
